Historic Landmarks Preservation Center

Nearly 30 years ago, in 1995, the not-for-profit Historic Landmarks Preservation Center created its Cultural Medallions program, to highlight the rich cultural, economic, political and social history of New York City. We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all of our efforts, and we encourage nominations from communities that have been historically under-represented in, or unrecognized by, mainstream culture.
